Carol received her BFA in Drawing and Painting from the University of Georgia in 1983. About her life as an artist she says, "As a child,I discovered clay while playing in the creek." Since then she realized that ceramic art is much like alchemy, combining elements, minerals, water, and fire to transform clay into beautiful works of art. Clay allows a three-dimensional expression in colors without equal in other media. With it, she can create cups, sculpture, or murals. There are no limitations to clay. Carol hopes the leaves she uses in her ceramic designs will serve as a reminder of the natural beauty of our planet.
